Does it post my listings to Poshmark and eBay for me?

No, and it's worth being clear about that up front. Poshmark and Mercari don't allow posting from outside their own apps — the tools that claim to do it drive the site's own forms through a browser extension, which breaks whenever a marketplace changes a field. What this does instead is get the listing written for you, then a browser panel puts the title, description, price and photos one tap from your clipboard while you're on their form. eBay posting through eBay's official API is in progress.

How is this different from a spreadsheet?

A spreadsheet is free and it's yours forever, and under about thirty items a month it's genuinely the right answer. Past that, it isn't on your phone when you're standing in a booth, you can't share it with a selling partner, it starts over every January, and it never tells you that something sold on eBay but is still listed on Poshmark. We give away a free spreadsheet too if you're not ready for an app.

Can two people really use the same inventory?

Yes, and it's the thing nothing else does. You both see and edit the same items live. Every item records who added it, and if you're really two businesses sharing one account you can keep entirely separate books — each person's profit totaled separately in the tax export.

What happens to my records if I stop paying?

Nothing is deleted. The app becomes read-only, and you can still open everything and export it all to a spreadsheet. Your records are yours whether you're paying or not.

Can I bring my existing spreadsheet across?

Yes. Export it as a CSV and import it — it works out which column is which and shows you three rows before writing anything. Photos can't come across, since a spreadsheet only holds text, but everything else does.

Do I need a credit card to try it?

No. Seven days free, no card. If you don't subscribe at the end, the app goes read-only and your records stay.

Does it work on my phone?

It's built for the phone first. Photograph an item and log what you paid while you're still standing in the booth. Add it to your home screen and it opens like an app — there's a prompt in the app showing how.

Will it do my taxes?

No, and be wary of anything that says it will. It keeps the records your preparer asks for — cost of goods, sale prices, fees, shipping, mileage and expenses — and exports them as a spreadsheet. What you file is between you and whoever does your taxes.

I buy pallets and boxes. How does that work?

You put in what the whole lot cost, and attach items to it as you enter them. The cost is split across them weighted by what each item is actually worth, rather than evenly — so the one good coat doesn't make everything else look like a loss. It recalculates itself as things get priced and sold.

Who can see my inventory?

Only people you've added. Each business's data is separated in the database itself, not just hidden in the app, so one customer's records can't be reached from another's account. Photos are stored privately and shown through links that expire.

What does the AI do, and where does my data go?

It drafts a title, description and search keywords from an item's details and photo, and reads receipts so expenses don't have to be typed in. It only runs when you press the button, and only that item's details are sent. Nothing is used to train anyone's models.

Who built this?

One person. It started as something for my mother and her friend, who source together at flea markets and couldn't find a tool that handled both of them. That means no support queue — feedback reaches the person who can act on it, usually the same day.

What if I need help?

There's a Send feedback button in the app that comes straight to my inbox, and I reply. Or email support@resaleinv.com.

Can I cancel whenever I want?

Yes, from inside the app, and it runs until the end of the period you've paid for. No phone call, no retention flow.

Why doesn't it automatically end and relist my eBay items to refresh them?

Because it would make your listings worse, even though almost everyone believes the opposite. Ending and relisting throws away the sales history and watchers that were helping your placement, and gives you back nothing but a newer start date. eBay have said themselves that it damages long-term seller performance. There's a second problem too: buyers save searches for newly listed items, and if the same listing keeps reappearing as new, they stop clicking it — which eBay reads as a signal that nobody wants it. What actually helps is revising: drop the price, fill in the item specifics you've left blank, improve the title. Revising keeps the history. We'd rather tell you that than sell you a button that quietly costs you money.

Why do I have to fill in item specifics for eBay?

Because eBay requires them per category, and they matter more than most sellers realize — missing ones keep your listing out of filtered searches entirely, which is invisible and expensive. The app asks eBay which ones your category needs, fills in whatever it can from the item, and only asks you for the rest.

Does it tell me if I'm about to lose money on something?

Not yet, and it should. At the moment you see the profit once it's sold. Knowing before you list — what you'd keep at a given price, after fees and postage — is a better question and it's on the list.

Why is the trial only 7 days?

Long enough to bring your records across and list a few things, short enough that you'll actually do it rather than meaning to. If you need longer, email and ask — that's a real offer, not a formality.

What happens if I have hundreds of items already?

Import your spreadsheet and the text comes across in a couple of minutes. Photos are the harder part — a spreadsheet can't carry them — so bringing photos over from wherever you're listing now is something we're working on. If you're deciding whether to switch and that's the blocker, say so, because it moves it up the list.

I can't get into the email address I signed up with. Am I locked out?

No, but you'll need to ask. If you can still sign in, change your address yourself in Team and settings — it's under "You" at the top. If you can't sign in either, email support@resaleinv.com from any address, tell us the old one, and we'll move your account across so you can reset your password normally. Your records are untouched throughout; it's only the way in that changes.

What happens to my records if I'm removed from someone else's inventory?

You're emailed a full copy at the moment it happens — the same spreadsheet you could have downloaded at any point while you were in it. That matters because if you file your own taxes, your share of the year lives in that inventory and you'd otherwise lose sight of it. Nothing you added is deleted, and your name stays on it.

Can I change the name that shows on my items?

Yes, in Team and settings under "You". Changing it also moves everything already recorded under the old name — items, mileage, expenses — so your totals don't split into two people.

Is the eBay part hard to set up?

You need a computer for it — eBay's business policies page doesn't exist on their mobile site, which is why people hunt for it on a phone and can't find it. On a laptop, go straight to ebay.com/bp/manage (there's a step-by-step guide with screenshots); it's under My eBay → Account → Selling → Business Policies, not in Seller Hub where most people look. About ten minutes. The connection itself is two taps; what takes the time is eBay's own requirement that your account has business policies switched on and one each of shipping, payment and returns created, all on their site rather than here. It's honestly the fiddliest part of using this app. Everything else — costs, profit, pallets, mileage, the tax export — works without connecting eBay at all, so it's worth leaving until you've got a spare ten minutes rather than making it the first thing you try.

I make reseller videos. Do you have an affiliate programme?

Yes. If someone signs up because of you, you get 30% of what they pay for their first twelve months — $5.70 a month on the basic plan, more on the bigger ones. It's paid monthly after their payment clears, and reversed if they refund, because we can't pay you out of money we've given back. There's no application: open the app, go to Menu, and choose "If you talk about this". The full terms are on that screen before you get a link. The one rule that matters is that it's not for referring yourself or accounts you control.

What if I refer a friend rather than an audience?

Different thing, and simpler. Once you're subscribed you get a link in the menu; send it to another reseller and when they subscribe you both get a free month. It's a credit on your next bill, which is why you need to be subscribed yourself for it to go anywhere. Nothing to sign up for and no terms to read. You can't have both rewards on the same person — whichever link they actually arrived on is the one that counts.
